(i)Trade in recyclable raw material shows the amounts (in mass unit) and the monetary value (in Euro) of selected wastes that are shipped across intra- and extra EU borders. (ii) The scope of the “recyclable raw material” is defined and approximated in terms of relevant product codes selected from the list of Combined Nomenclature codes used in International Trade in Goods Statistics. They are grouped according to a Joint Research Centre (JRC) classification (iii) All EU Member States and the EU aggregate, plus the United Kingdom. (iv) Extra-EU trade statistics data are collected by using customs declaration. Intra-EU trade statistics are collected directly from trade operators as a consequence of the abolishment of customs control at the borders between the Member States.
