The Ministry of the Environment, Energy and the Sea makes local energy data available .

This provision is enshrined in article 179 of the law on energy transition for green growth (LTECV). Its implementation is specified in a decree and an order, both dated July 18, 2016.

The data cover metropolitan France and the overseas departments (Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Réunion and Mayotte). However, to date, data for petroleum products only cover metropolitan France.
