  • Updated description of Islets of freshness - "Fresh" green spaces from

This dataset lists the "cool" green spaces of the City of Paris as well as certain state parks and gardens classified according to their share of high vegetation (expected shade) and their night-time openings. This classification, proposed by the APUR (Atelier parisien d'urbanisme), is the result of a study commissioned by the City of Paris on the vegetation cover and canopy, which made it possible to map vegetation over 8m high throughout Paris. The proportion of high vegetation makes it possible to determine during the day whether the green space in question is : - Very exposed to the sun and therefore rather hot (less than 25% high vegetation). - Partially shaded and therefore moderately cool (25 to 50% high vegetation). - Very shady and therefore cool (more than 50% high vegetation).
