This dataset gives the gas consumption for centralised electricity production.
It has been constructed from the data reported in the gas balances shared by GRTgaz each year nationally and regionally.
451 TWh of gas were consumed on GRTgaz's transmission system in 2019, a gross increase of 2% compared with 2018. This increase is mainly due to the high demand at the 13 French sites producing electricity from gas, with 39% more consumption than in the previous year.
